The Animal Breeding and Genomics Group (ABGG) focuses its research in understanding the genetics behind complex traits of economical importance, using genomics and traditional statistical methods. We have strong links with different academic groups worldwide, within the country, as well as the Chilean industry. This has enabled us to develop a number of projects that are currently being in progress in Salmon, Mussels, Emu and Artemia, with the aim of increasing the profitability and sustainability of the animal production in Chile.
